Let nothing which can be treated by diet be treated by other means. – Maimonides

What is Nutrition Therapy?

Nutrition therapy is a holistic approach to wellness based on the principle that wellness and vitality begin with the food we eat.  A nutrition therapist tailors individualized therapeutic meal and menu plans using the naturally-occurring nutrients in whole foods. About 2500 years ago, the Greek physician Hippocrates said,

“Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food.”

While Hippocrates is considered the father of Western medicine, Western medicine today is far removed this philosophy of Hippocrates’. It is, however, the philosophy of nutrition therapy.

You can benefit from Nutrition Therapy if you experience trouble with any of the following:

  • Blood Sugar Balance
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Allergies
  • Autism or ADHD
  • Fatigue and Loss of Energy
  • Heart Health
  • Hormone Balance
  • Infertility
  • Weight Gain
  • Chronic or terminal illness
  • Brain Health and Mood Support
  • Gastrointestinal Disorders
  • Bone Health
  • Healthful Aging

What does a Nutrition Therapy session entail?

Your first nutrition therapy session is a complete health intake so that Rachelle understands the complex web of medical history and environmental conditions affecting the current state of your health.  Come prepared with your goals for your health in mind.  If time allows, this session will include nutrition education regarding your areas of concern and a few first steps for implementation toward your goals.

RadiantTable-R-IconFollow-up sessions include analysis of the diet, further education and lifestyle and diet recommendations and support.  Other services that may be requested as supportive follow-up sessions include grocery store tours, in-home cooking demonstrations or pantry makeovers.

Rachelle offers one and three month nutrition therapy packages that allow her to support the development of healthful new patterns over time for her clients.
